General information about cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on the hard drive of a customer's computer by a website and with the help of the browser to store small amounts of information from the website for a certain period of time. In general, there are different types of cookies; these are divided into technical cookies and profiling cookies (cookies used for marketing and advertising purposes).

This website uses technical and profiling cookies. You can find the details below.

Description of the cookie types
Technical cookies are primarily relevant to the functionality of the website. These include navigation or session cookies, which enable user-friendly navigation on the website. In addition, there are so-called analysis cookies, which, for example, collect information about the number of website visitors and the visitors' path to the website. The group of technical cookies also includes the function cookies that enable the website to remember the selections you have made (e.g. filter settings you have chosen or automatic language presetting of a website).

There are also cookies that record the user's settings, preferences and actions and are used to create a user profile, so-called profiling cookies. This is used to combine advertising messages with the interests of the user and thus enables more targeted advertising. As soon as you open a website that uses the latter cookies, a banner is displayed informing the user that the website operator uses cookies for marketing purposes. It also informs the user that the site may allow third-party cookies. The banner links to a page with detailed information (which you are now on) where the user can refuse the storage of cookies.

The banner offers the possibility of explicit consent by the user and shows the indication that further navigation on the page implies automatic consent to the use of cookies. Clicking on the more detailed information does not imply consent. The banner does not disappear after a certain period of time, but remains displayed until the user has either consented or declined, or deliberately continues to navigate. We are legally obliged to record and store the user's decision so that no banner appears the next time the user visits the website.

You can also generally or selectively refuse the use of cookies. If you do not wish to accept our cookies, you can reject them via your web browser or via the correspondingly indicated links. The corresponding function varies from browser to browser. You will find details on this below. Please note that it may well lead to functional restrictions if you do not accept cookies.

In the following, we show which technologies are used for which purpose, to what extent and of what kind on our pages. It is possible that so-called third-party cookies (cookies from other advertisers) are used. You will find further information as a link in the respective section. You can also explicitly block these third-party cookies in the settings of the respective browser.

On the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance www.youronlinechoices.eu you will find further information on cookies, a list of the cookies installed on your computer and the option to deactivate them. Please note that only cookies from participating companies (most of the advertising industry) are listed and therefore only these can be deactivated.
